The practice recently changed ownership in June of 2021, staying privately owned by a long-time client and associate. The new owner is building upon the reputation of quality care by incorporating modern services and technology. Our clinic offers a full in-house diagnostic lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, dental radiographs, Class IV laser, PRP capabilities, and more. * Four- 10hr workdays with 2 hr break for lunch/callbacks/chart completion

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Duties Include (but not limited to):

● Wellness appointments (vaccines, nutrition counseling, age-specific recommendations, etc.)
● Routine sick appointments
● Same-day urgent/emergent sick (as scheduling allows)
● Routine soft tissue surgery/COHAT (one set day per week, more days allotted if desired)
● Client communication (preventive recommendations, proactive diagnostics, follow-up discussions for continuity of care)
● Ability to refer to top boarded specialists in the area and multiple 24-hour emergency clinics

Applicant Qualifications:

Experience: 1+ years in veterinary medicine
Education: DVM
Licensure: Valid NYS Veterinary License

We are looking for a client-oriented service representative. A client service representative, or CSR, is a front-facing position in our clinic. Our CSRs act as a liaison; they provide product/service information, appropriately schedule appointments for our patients based on urgency, and help resolve any emerging problems with our clients. Our CSRs are overseen by a designated floor manager who will help answer questions and provide wisdom in difficult situations.

Duties Include (but not limited to):

● Manage large amounts of incoming calls
● Communicate effectively with clients via email and text message throughout the workday
● Effectively communicate with clients to triage patients and determine the appropriate time to schedule them to be examined
● Check-in patients when they arrive to the clinic for appointments
● Handle all types of payment – including but not limited to credit card, cash, and check transactions
● Be able to answer client questions in regards to preventatives and prescription products
● Be comfortable and proficient in conflict resolution

Skills:
● Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service
representative
● Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

● Proficiency in venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement

Job Description
Lake Country Veterinary Care is looking for an individual willing to join our team to help assist in daily activities within the clinic. The duties of a veterinary assistant/hospital attendant are an integral role in providing quality care for our patients and communication with our clients. An individual must be a team player, capable of working cooperatively with other staff members and compassionately with pets.

Duties Include:

● Clean cages and bathe animals
● Sterilize equipment and clean examination tables and rooms
● Assist with opening and closing duties; including stocking of all exam rooms,
treatment area, and surgery
● Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations
● Soothe upset or frightened animals
● Help in cases of emergencies
● Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments
● Keep accurate records and logs

Skills:
● Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals
● Excellent communication skills
● Patient and caring personality
● Ability to follow instructions properly
● Comfortable being around animals (primarily cats and dogs)
● Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)
● Availability to occasionally work in emergencies
